Carbyne™ SWaE250

Carbyne™ SWaE250

Water-Based Epoxy Primer | Two-Component

Carbyne™ SWaE250 is a bio-based, water-based, two-component epoxy primer engineered specifically for garage floor systems. Designed to prepare and condition concrete substrates, Carbyne™ SWaE250 promotes strong adhesion, uniform coverage, and long-term system performance when used as the first layer in the Carbyne™ coating system.

Applied to properly prepared concrete, Carbyne™ SWaE250 penetrates the surface to help seal and stabilize the slab while improving adhesion between the concrete and subsequent epoxy base coats or polyurethane topcoats. With low VOCs and no odor, it supports cleaner installations—especially important for garages attached to living spaces.

Built for Garage Floor Preparation

Carbyne™ SWaE250 creates a consistent, durable primer layer that enhances bonding throughout the garage floor system. Its low-viscosity, water-based formulation allows for easy application and fast dry times, helping reduce downtime while maintaining professional-grade performance.

Directions For Use

Surface Preparation:

  1. For high strength structural coatings, remove surface contaminants such as paint, oxide films, oils, dust, mold release agents and all other surface contaminants.
  2. Use gloves to minimize skin contact.

Mixing Instructions for a 5-Gallon Kit:

  1. Full cure in 5 days.
  2. Mix Part A well prior to use. Use a paint stick or a drill mixer.
  3. Add all of Part B to Part A. Mix 5 minutes using a drill mixer.
  4. Add the required amount of water to Part A (as per label instructions).
  5. Mix for 5 minutes using a drill mixer.
  6. Add the entire content of the Accelerator to Part A if a faster dry is desired.
  7. Mix for 5 minutes using a drill mixer.
  8. Apply with brush, roller or sprayer to substrate.
  9. Apply coating at 5 wet mil to 6 wet mil thickness
  10. Coating will be dry to touch in 3-4 hours when using the included Accelerator.
