Carbyne™ SSoE250 is a bio-based, 100% solids, two-component epoxy base coat engineered specifically for garage floor systems. Designed to build thickness, strength, and durability, Carbyne™ SSoE250 forms a dense, high-performance foundation that supports long-term wear resistance in residential and light commercial garages.
Applied over properly prepared concrete, Carbyne™ SSoE250 delivers exceptional adhesion and abrasion resistance, creating a solid base layer for Carbyne™ polyurethane topcoats. With low VOCs and no odor, it supports cleaner installations—especially important for garages attached to living spaces.

BioCoat™ SSoE Premium introduces visual dimension through mica-based finishes while maintaining the Carbyne™ coating’s performance characteristics.
BioCoat™ SSoE250 Premium Mica comes in 11 different colors: Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Rose, Gold, Turquoise, Silver White Pearlescent, Gold Pearlescent, and Copper Pearlescent.
In addition to mica-based finishes, BioBond also offers decorative flake systems and quartz options in a variety of standard styles. These systems allow specifiers to introduce texture, visual variation, and surface definition while maintaining the performance characteristics required for demanding environments.
Directions For Use
Surface Preparation:
- For high strength structural coatings, remove surface contaminants such as paint, oxide films, oils, dust, mold release agents and all other surface contaminants.
- Use gloves to minimize skin contact.
Mixing Instructions:
- Mix Part B well prior to use. For best results use a drill mixer.
- Add all of Part B to Part A.
- Mix 3 minutes. For best results use a drill mixer.
- Apply with brush, roller, squeegee to substrate.
- Application thickness (flooring): 5 – 50 dry mils (5 – 50 wet mils) (depending on the surface roughness and unevenness. Smooth floors will require less thickness while rougher floors will require a thicker coating)
- Pot life: Approximately 1 hour
- Dry Time: 8 – 10 hours under ambient conditions (70ºF, 30% humidity). Dry time will take longer under cooler ambient temperatures and/or higher humidity.
- The next coat can be applied once dry.
- Full Cure Time: 5 days
Can be used with or without pigment.
